Serie A Roundup: 4 Things You Might Have Missed From Italian Football This Weekend
Matchday 23 provided Serie A lovers with, well, much of the same really.
Juventus beat Sassuolo, again. Duvan Zapata scored, again. Krzysztof Piatek scored, again. Oh and someone was sent off...again.
So now that weve got the obvious bits of Serie A action out of the way, here are some things you may have missed from matchday 23:

Salvatore Sirigu Has Saved Five of the Last Seven Penalties Hes Faced
Move aside Samir Handanovic, theres a new spot kick king on the peninsula.
In Torinos 1-0 win over ten man Udinese (more on that in a bit), Salvatore Sirigu denied Rodrigo De Paul from the spot in the second half to all but seal three points for II Toro.
Its fair to say that the 32-year-old has been a slight upgrade on Englishman Joe Hart...yeah, just a slight one...

Lucas Paqueta Dedicates Maiden AC Milan Goal to Victims of Flamengo Fire
Sunday night was an emotional one for new AC Milan star Lucas Paqueta. After scoring a wonderful maiden San Siro goal, the midfielder spoke about the fire at Flamengos training ground which killed 10 youth team players.
“It has been a very difficult time. I am living a dream playing for Milan and scoring my first Serie A goal, but it was also a dream for me to be in the Flamengo youth academy and I can’t forget those who were experiencing the same thing.”

Theres Been at Least One Sending Off in Each of the Last 17 Serie A Matchdays
Who said football has become a non-contact sport?
Sebastian De Maios red card in Udineses defeat to Torino marks the 17th consecutive Serie A matchday in which there was a sending off.
Overall there has been a remarkable 43 red cards brandished in the Italian top flight; six of which came in one weekend at the turn of the year.
Chill out guys.

Cristiano Ronaldo Clocks Sami Khedira
Dont be fooled by the above photo, Cristiano Ronaldo HATES Juventus teammate Sami Khedira.
And on Sunday, he acted upon this hate.
After controlling the ball on the edge of the penalty area CR7 turned and, instead of rifling goalward, rifled right at poor Khediras head, knocking him flat on his arse. Luckily he was able to get back up and see out the rest of the game.
Could this heinous attack be symptomatic of locker room problems at I Bianconeri?
Maybe...but probably not.
