Napoli Threaten Eljif Elmas With Legal Action After Giving Unauthorised Interview
Napoli released a statement on Saturday evening reserving the right to take legal action over their own player Eljif Elmas, after the Macedonian attacker gave an unauthorised interview during I Partenopeis media blackout.
Elmas spoke while on International duty with Macedonia, expressing his desire to prove himself as a worthy addition to the Napoli squad, and he described the Italian side as one of the best teams in Italy.

However, Napolis hierarchy did not react well to Elmas interview, and they released a statement on Twitter reserving their right to take action against the player due to his failure to follow the clubs current policy.
"SSC Napoli can confirm that Eljif #Elmas spoke to the press without the clubs authorisation during the current media blackout. SSC Napoli therefore reserves the right to take action against the player."
Elmas did not criticise the club or the board during his interview, but the 19-year-old discussed Napolis chances of winning the Serie A title, and he expressed his delight at playing in Italy, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.
"There are many teams in the fight: Inter, Napoli and Roma. The brawl will be uncertain until the end.
"I am not weighed down by the fact that I am the most expensive Macedonian footballer ever, I only think of working as much as possible. Now I am focused on Napoli, I want to do well, I am happy to play in Italy.
"I have many goals but I keep them to myself. Napoli is one of the best teams in the Italian league."
I Partenopei are in crisis at the moment, as a string of bad results led to the clubs president Aurelio De Laurentiis calling on the players to enter a training retreat for the coming weeks. The squad and coach Carlo Ancelotti refused to follow the orders however, angering the president and supporters.
The Napoli faithful have retaliated to their stars actions by booing and whistling during training and matches, vandalising the players cars and even breaking into their homes. Ancelottis side sit seventh in Serie A and have won only once in their last five matches.
